Everyone goes through good and bad times. Everyone makes mistakes. We all have experiences that are uniquely our own, influenced by our past, identity, our role in society; in history. Learning from our history is one of the most important parts of human advancement- We must not forget who we were, what we’d done, what we saw, and what mistakes we made.
Inspired by A Journey Through the Brick Wall, written by Raymond Yeung.
The recurring Chinese characters: 「毋忘」- never forget. ~<Everyone goes through good times and bad times.>~Hongkongers shall never forget the brutality- the political silencing- ~<Everyone makes mistakes.>~the injustices and the many lives lost and futures ruined.~<We all have our own experiences that are uniquely our own, influenced by our past, our identity, our role in society and in history.>~ We draw on these collective memories as a daily reminder of our initial purpose, to protect the values that many had sacrificed for. ~<We find ways enhance and improve ourselves, and to be a person who is constantly learning and involving we must not forget who we were, what we’d done, what we saw, and what mistakes we made. We must learn from our mistakes, and strive toward a better, brighter future. >~

What Happens in Central Stays in Paint 2
A memoir of a graffiti-hunting trip I went on with my friend Liam. This piece marked the start of my interest in graffiti, which appears as a motif across many of my later works. It symbolises an awakening, an explosion of colour and undeveloped ideas in line; vibrant, dreamlike images to resemble the moment of brightness when we first open our eyes.
